How to cleanse Your pendulum

You may have realised in my other article about choosing pendulums, that crystal pendulums need to have their energy cleared regularly to maximise safe use but also increase the accuracy of your dowsing results.

Crystal pendulums are notorious for collecting negative energy from the environment and also from the person using it. So how do you cleanse a pendulum? I highly recommend to keep it simple by using one of the below methods.

Make sure that you use strong visualisation whilst doing any of these methods. You need to visualise negative energy being drawn away and positive energy being restored back – like a purification process. You may want to visualise black energy in your mind being drawn away from the pendulum and released into the universe and then white light, positive energy being brought back in, in its place. Make sure you visualise the pendulum as glowing with white light when finishing these methods.

Salt Water cleanse

One way I recommend clearing your pendulum is to use a bowl of water with sea salt and clean your pendulum with your hands whilst doing the visualisation technique as described above.

If you don’t have salt, you can also simply put your pendulum under running water straight from the tap

Smudge/Incense

You can pass your pendulum through incense smoke or from smudging it with sage. Always make sure you do this with intention of clearing the pendulum of negative energy and replacing with positive energy.

Sunlight/Moonlight

With intention or a special prayer, place your pendulum in sunlight or moonlight. Make sure you use the visualisation techniques as described earlier in this article. Make sure you state your intentions for the pendulum to be cleared of any negative energy and replaced with positive energy.

Selenite Disk/Bowl/Plate

Using the visualisation techniques as mentioned above, and setting intention, place your pendulum in or on a selenite item. Leave it there until you feel in the pit of your stomach that the pendulum is clear.
